It was an honor to have Imani, a fellow creative, photographer, and friend, as the first to step in front of my camera in my new studio space a few months ago.

I wanted to get familiar with the space, how it felt to create in, and play with the natural light coming in from the windows. The studio has an inspiring view of downtown off in the distance, with rooftops from the neighborhood homes in the foreground. The texture in the foliage outside the window frame added a painterly effect that when converted to black & white gave an ethereal feel.

Imani and I decided to create intimate portraits, also known as boudoir. I've shot plenty of boudoir and artistic nude in the past, while taking a break for the past couple of years. It was refreshing and invigorating to come back to it with a new perspective and wisdom.

It fed my soul to create magic in the new studio space. There are more sessions to share since then that I captured in 2024. As I look forward at what 2025 holds, I eagerly await what will be envisioned, crafted, and captured within these walls. stay tuned..
