How far in advance should I book my portrait session?
At least 2-4 weeks in advance. I limit the number of sessions I take on per month. For the best availability, reach out and book your session as early as possible.
When do you schedule your portrait sessions?
I typically schedule my portrait sessions on Saturdays at 1PM. I sometimes take special requests for Sundays at 1PM if my schedule allows it.
How many outfits can I wear?
You can wear up to 3 outfits/looks during your portrait session. You can choose to have only 1 outfit/look if that's all you intend to wear, but I always suggest 2-3 outfits to give you more variety and allow you to express your true self.
How should I prepare prior to my portrait session?
During your Planning Session, no less than a week prior to your portrait session, we will go over details of what you will need for the day of your session. I always recommend clients have their outfits and anything else they may need ready in advance the day before their session.
If you purchased the optional Hair & Makeup Artistry, I suggest washing your hair the day prior (so that it is dry day of). For men, if you have to shave, I also suggest shaving the day prior, to reduce any possible redness in the skin. Do NOT freak out if your skin breaks out, Makeup will cover that up nicely, and anything that may show is easily fixed when making the finishing touches to your photos.
Can I bring my pet?
YES! I love photographing any and all pets. I consider them an extension of the family. Please mention your pets during your consultation and we will make it happen!
How long does it take to receive my portrait print & product order?
After your portrait session, turn-around time is typically 1-2 weeks for your view & order appointment. Depending on the prints or product you order, it will take anywhere from 2-4 weeks for delivery. I typically receive the order and will either setup a date & time to meet in the studio, or I can hand deliver it to your home.
How much does it cost?
For individual portraits, couples portraits, family portraits, and intimate portraits packages start at only $500.
There is a non-refundable Creative Fee of $150 that is paid at the time of booking. This is for my time and talent, and stands as a deposit/retainer to secure your portrait session date & time. This is a separate fee from the packages I offer.
Included in my Creative Fee is your Planning Session, 1-Hour Portrait Session (with up to 3 outfits/looks), and your View & Order Appointment. During your View & Order Appointment, you'll have the opportunity to order the Package you desire, if you haven't already done so, or you can upgrade your package. Additionally, you can order prints & products from my À La Carte menu.
On average, Clients will spend $750 for their portrait experience, including prints & product.
Do you only take portraits in your studio?
No, I also offer on location portrait sessions. There are plenty of great outdoor locations to fit your vision - from desert scenery to city vibes downtown. This is something we can talk about in detail during your planning session.
Can I do my own hair & makeup?
Absolutely, but I always suggest adding Hair & Makeup Artistry for only $250. I work with some incredibly talented hair & makeup artists that will make you look and feel like a celebrity. They know what kind of makeup looks best on camera, and know how to match all skin tones flawlessly. They only use top products to ensure your skin and hair are taken care of.
How long is the portrait session?
Portrait sessions are scheduled for 1-hour. If you feel you will need more time to capture your portraits, additional time is $100 per hour.
Can we take our portraits in multiple locations?
We can absolutely take your portraits in multiple locations, as long as the travel time between locations is reasonable. Portrait sessions are scheduled for 1-hour, but I recommend purchasing additional time for your session to ensure we have enough time to safely capture your portraits at the locations you desire without rushing the process.
